BOOK NOW FOR APRIL SAFETY SURGERIES!

Our popular Freelance Safety Surgeries are BACK for another day on Tuesday 30 April at London's Frontline Club with trauma specialists Dart Centre Europe joining our line up of safety and security advisors. 

Are you a freelance journalist, filmmaker or photographer in need of some expert, one-to-one advice on safety, risk assessment, digital security or trauma management?  Then sign up now for one of our FREE safety surgeries taking place on TUESDAY 30TH APRIL.

Run in partnership with Frontline Freelance Register, at London's Frontline Club, the UK's leading safety, digital security and trauma experts will be available to give freelancers FREE, tailored one-to-one consulations either in person on remotely. 

These surgeries are intended for freelancers who are preparing for an assignment or who are concerned about their safety or security. They provide an opportunity to receive direct access to expert knowledge, advice and guidance that will help them manage their preparations and improve their safety skills. Security advisors from organisations including 1st Option SafetyBuzzfeedHP Risk Management will be available to provide guidance on safety issues, risk assessment, assignment planning and digital security. 

For the first time, journalism and trauma experts from the Dart Centre Europe will also be available to give guidance on interviewing contributors, self-care, and planning for potentially traumatic assignments.

Individual surgeries will be available throughout the day in 45 minute slots.  Online consultations via a secure platform will be available for those living outside of the UK or unable to travel to London.

Deadlines for applications is TUESDAY 16TH APRIL. 


Please note: freelancers are free to bring assignment/story plans and draft risk assessments to discuss with their allocated security advisor, but these consultations are NOT intended as safety ‘sign off’s for individual risk assessments or travel plans. Any advice given should form part of your own assignment preparation, not act as a replacement for it.
