Tim is a senior leader in the third sector, with experience in charities providing relief in humanitarian crises, and a former British Army officer and diplomat. He has lived overseas in a variety of contexts and environments, most recently leading the defence team in the British Embassy, Beijing, through the pandemic and during protests in Hong Kong. A veteran of military operations in the Balkans, Iraq, and Afghanistan, he has worked recently in Somalia, Libya, and Ukraine with NGOs. He is a member of the steering committee for UK-based security focal points within the non-profit sector and has been a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society since 1997. Tim is also a non-executive director of the Cornwall Cricket Board.
