On World Press Freedom Day, we’re excited to announce a new initiative to support the safety of frontline journalists.
The Risk & Safety Helpdesk will support journalists to prepare for assignments with professional safety planning tools, ensuring journalists have access to industry-leading security experts for guidance on the physical, digital, psychological and legal risks of a planned reporting assignment.
This is a rare opportunity for freelance journalists to access specialised safety advice using the same risk management tool and security intelligence used by news producers at UK broadcasters ITN, 5 News and Channel 4 News.
