Partners: East and Southeast Asia

The Rory Peck Trust works with a number of partners in East and Southeast Asia.

Centre for Media Freedom and Responsibility (CMFR)

CMFR was formed in 1989 with the goal of safeguarding press freedom in post-Marcos Philippines. It works to advocate for freedom of expression in the country, promotes media development and to train and educate journalists in the Philippines.

Southeast Asia Press Alliance (SEAPA)

SEAPA is a non-profit NGO that campaigns for press freedom in Southeast Asia. They monitor and release alerts on violations of press freedom in the region, campaign and advocate for freedom of expression, and organise an annual journalism fellowship. They also work to promote journalism development in Southeast Asia.

Viet Tan

Viet Tan exists to roll back restrictions on two key human rights in Vietnam: press freedom and freedom of association and assembly. They promote a free media, support grass roots human rights organisations in the country, train and build capacity of local journalists and advocate worldwide on behalf of freedom of expression and freedom of association in Vietnam.
