World News Day brings more than 1,000 newsrooms together to make one collective case, and to do something journalisys rarely do: take you behind the scenes and show you how how we do our journalism.
Earlier this month, the Rory Peck Trust began a new partnership with the Palestinian Journalists’ Protection Center, providing laptops for freelancers working from its Gaza Media Hub.
To mark World News Day, the Director of the Palestinian Journalists’ Protection Center, Ashraf Ashharawi joined the `Trust’s Executive Director, Jon Williams, to discuss, journalism, the importance of eyewitness reporting, and how Gaza’s journalists have borne the terrible burden of reporting war at home for the past three years.
