Freelancing in Libya

Freelance journalists in Libya face acute professional and safety challenges, which makes it hard to build a sustainable career – whatever their skillset. This resource is here to help.

Improving client relationships, building safety protocols, and expanding professional networks in the region are some of the various areas on which this resource provides essential information, tools and advice for Libyan freelancers at all stages in their career.

The resource forms part of a two-year project, "Strengthening Skills and Improving Safety for Independent Journalism in Libya", and was the first project funded by the UN Democracy Fund that is devoted entirely to freelance journalism.
