Support AFP London's challenge on Saturday!

At 9am on Saturday, AFP's London bureau will take on a 12-mile endurance challenge to raise money for the Rory Peck Trust.

After two months of intense - and painful! - training, staff at the London office of Agence France Presse will finally take on one of the world's toughest obstacle  courses to raise money for our work with freelance journalists.

Tough Mudder London West is a challenge with no winner, no finishing medal, and no clock. BUT it does have 20 kilometers of mud and obstacles that will test AFP's mental grit, teamwork and all-around physical fitness.

"The kind of obstacles we will be tackling on Saturday cannot compare to the sorts of circumstances faced by freelance newsgatherers - especially local freelancers - around the world" says Jacqueline Pietsch, lead organiser of the fundraiser. "When something goes wrong it can be a fast, slippery slope to absolute rock-bottom. Some may have the back up of a news organization, but for those who don't, the Rory Peck Trust is there, helping to pull journalists out of the quagmire."

With only days left to support this wonderful effort, please donate what you can to the AFP team via the link below:
