Journalism and Trauma Workshop, Istanbul

Our April Journalism and Trauma workshop for freelancers working in Syria was our latest.

In April the Trust ran a 2-day trauma workshop for freelancers working in Syria.

It is the latest in a growing list of on-the-ground projects that the Trust is setting up with local and international partners.

As with all of our work, these initiatives are focussed, practical and tailored to the specific needs of freelancers, and to the regions and countries in which they work. Though small in size, the impact of these initiatives can be large.

The two-day journalism and trauma workshop, held in Istanbul in April, was tailored to the needs of freelancers currently working in Syria.

Run in partnership with the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma, it helped participants to identify and manage trauma before, during, and after assignments.
