You may have noticed something different about rorypecktrust.org.

For many years now, you've been coming to us for guidance and information about practical issues that affect you. We've listened, and have now created this new online resource for you. It will be developing and growing over time, and our goal is to make it the online go-to-place for all freelance newsgatherers.

Here's my colleague Andrew Ford Lyons to tell you more...

Thanks, Tina. I'm the digital project manager at Rory Peck Trust. We've published our new website in time for this year's Rory Peck Awards finalists announcement. It is a work in progress, and we'll be hosting a full launch later on, but we're eager to get our new resources, features and highlights about our assistance programmes to freelance newsgatherers.

This new resource for freelancers is being developed with support from Open Society Foundations and in collaboration with the Syndicut digital agency. The aim is to bring a new online platform to freelance newsgathers around the globe, from the international to the locally based, and provide a growing set of tools and vital information for veterans and those starting out.

Take a tour of our new site and be sure to come back as we launch new content and features and let us know how we're doing. Under each entry in our Freelance Resources, you'll find feedback options to tell us what you think of them and how we can make them better. Here on our blog, let us know what you think in our comments. You can also reach me with general insights and comments at digital@rorypecktrust.org.
